JOHN M.WELCOM, Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer
John Welcom has over 17 years of experience in the life settlement marketplace and is widely recognized as a pioneer and expert in the industry. He graduated from the University of Miami (FL) with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and after serving as an independent broker, John formed Welcome Funds in 2000.

John was the first life settlement council member for the Gerson Lehrman Group Council, a global network of professionals who deliver expertise and decision-making assistance to business, government and investment leaders around the world and also serves on the advisory board of 21st Services, a leading life expectancy provider.

DANIEL OHMAN, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Dan has served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Welcome Funds, Inc. since 2000. His primary responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of life settlement provider relationships and oversight of the underwriting, negotiation and closing departments.

Prior to joining Welcome Funds, Dan served as a Business Analyst and Operations Manager for the Walt Disney World Company. He received both his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Miami (FL). Dan currently holds life or producer licenses in all 50 states and is a registered representative with FINRA holding the Series 6, 26 and 63 licenses.

JARED M. SMITH, Chief Financial Officer
Jared serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Welcome Funds, Inc., where he oversees all financial matters as well as project management, research, strategic planning and development, marketing and human resource functions. Prior to joining the company in 2006, he served as the Director of Planning and Strategic Development for Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he was responsible for the hospital’s overall planning, growth and project management initiatives.

Jared received both his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his Master’s of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami (FL). He is a Certified Public Accountant, a life agent in Florida and a registered representative with FINRA holding the Series 6 and 28 licenses.
